Level Books is made by CirrusLab Inc., a software company in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. This page explains what we collect through levelbooks.ca, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

  • Your early-access signup: your name, email address, type of business, how many people you have on payroll, and your consent to be emailed, with the wording you agreed to and when.
  • Where the signup came from: the page you signed up on, and a rough location (city, province and country) that our hosting provider works out from your connection. We don't store your IP address.
  • Whether our emails reach you: when we email you, our email provider tells us whether the message was delivered, bounced or opened, and whether a link in it was clicked.
  • Anonymous site statistics: page views and referrers, counted without cookies and without identifying you.

How we use it

To tell you when Level Books opens for you, to decide which businesses to invite first, and to keep our emails working. We don't sell your information and we don't use it to advertise to you.

Who handles it

A few service providers help us run this: Cloudflare hosts the site and stores signups, and Postmark sends our email. They handle your information only to provide that service to us.

How long we keep it

Until Level Books opens for you and you become a customer, or until you ask us to remove it. If there's no longer a reason to keep it, we delete it.

Your choices

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. You can also ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: email [email protected] and a person will take care of it.

Changes to this page

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date above.
